Monday night's meal was a a fine affair in an passageway surrounded by four storey villas, a warm night and clear light. Slept well and then packed up and vacated the house.
Some intial difficulty in getting the vehicles turned around the right direction and we are off heading to the north and the high Alps.
But first a stop at the Sondrio Decathlon store - think Bunnings for sporting equipment. We each buy a few things, then drink a few Lavazza coffees from the vending machine and onwards. Quite an easy drive but the five kilometre and 8 kilometre tunnels under the mountains are taxing on concentration.
Enter Bormio and we are quickly harboured in our very comfortable digs for the next four nights. Bags unpacked and a wander of the town, everything is shut and will not reopen until 15:45. Wander some more and select the trout farm for toasted panini, we are all ravenous. Beer of course.
I wander some more and find a dispensing bread machine. Chuck two euros in and out pops 9 bread rolls. Check out a couple of shops and wander into town again for pasta, prices are much more reasonable here.
Back and sleep is attempted but the steady drizzle that has formed is causing one of the neighbours gutters to drain in a torrent right next to my double glazed window. And I am cold with only a light duvet. Must correct that.
Wake to a cloudless day, bit cool but expected to warm up.

Ciao, Bonjour, Guten Tag, Hola!!!! Looks like you're having an amazing time Steven, very jealous. Love the baguettes in the vending machine, haha. Enjoy your days off lazing about doing nothing apart from eating delicious food and drinking beer/wine/coffee.....
