You forget

Why hello Bali. Its been 7 months since we visited Nusa Lembongan with the Doodz after our Vietnam trip.
It feels very different this time after an intense work year for Sandy and myself.

I have lost count of the number of times I have been here which is appealing and shameful that the only Balinese I have is low casta "thankyou".
This trip isnt programmed to the nth degree. We are stopping in four places around the island and relaxing. Thats it

No canyoning white water rafting no nightclubs no extreme sports. Just time together.

So yes our driver onearm James got us to Perth international T1 after a scenic tour of T2 and the roadworks of Tonkin Leach. Three hours to kill we brave the twenty minute queue to xray our carryon on bags and avoid the pornoscanner.

Duty free booze bought we're in departures waiting for virgin va59 737 to be made ready.

Ngurah Rai airport has stopped work after the rush for APEC 2014. No airbridges just a couple of buses and an anaemic conveyor belt.

$70 us and we are met by Made and driven to The Pearl in Legian/Seminyak on Jl double six.
Its 11.00 and we're knackered. First impression is underwhelming. Bit tired but mostly well maintained. Sleep beckons.

But I have just bought sa new game called Valiant Hearts and I click the icon and it immediately commences downloading data. 900mb

I dont feel bad about this but it stops at 40mb. Twice. Bummer no sleep.

Awake we summon the room kettle into action. Honestly I could have gathered driftwood made a fire and knitted my own yoghurt. No rush but

We have no program for Sunday. A short walk finds aus a Capil beach cafe and first beer at 10.30
A few beers later and a pizza and a shop for anti-nyamuk Im reading the Bali Times with a duty free scotch on the verandah.
A 4 hour sleep and we are planning dinner and football matches and sussing out big screen sports bars because I seek local culture.
